Northwest Saline Wind Farm

Photomontage of the proposed Northwest Saline Wind Farm

Location:   Approximately 2km northwest of Saline and 12km northwest of Dunfermline, Fife.

Project Status:   Wind monitoring mast installed September, 2008.  Public Exhibition of wind farm plans held in Saline on 20th November, 2008.  Planning Application and Environmental Statement submitted to Fife Council June, 2009.

Proposed Turbine Layout:   Our original 7 turbine layout was assessed for environmental impacts and particularly visual impacts.  Due to the results of this assessment and feedback from the local community, the scheme has been revised to a 5 turbine layout.  The proposed turbines would be 120m to blade tip and rated at approximately 2-3MW (10-15MW for the wind farm).
