Because of rising demands for energy, South American countries,
particularly Brazil, Chile and Argentina have also begun to support
wind energy development. The possibility to effect greater independence
from fossil fuels and the possibility to lower CO2 emissions have
fostered a growing interest in wind energy. In Brazil and
Argentina bills have been passed and programs have been implemented to
favour power generation from wind energy sources.
Especially in Argentina, the existing infrastructure and wind potential
is very conducive to the development of wind energy facilities.
Therefore there is enormous growth potential in the wind energy
industry at the moment. top
